Need help with your computer but don’t want to unplug anything or have someone come into your home?
With remote computer support, I can securely connect to your computer over the internet and fix many common problems while you watch.
I’m Tony from Y-Not Tech Services, and I provide friendly, patient remote support for home users and seniors in Lethbridge.
As long as your internet connection is working, I can usually help without an in-person visit.
What I Can Fix with Remote Support
Remote sessions are perfect for many software and setup issues, including:
- Slow computer and basic tune-up work
- Help with email problems and account logins
- Browser issues, pop-ups, and homepage problems
- Installing or removing programs
- Basic virus & malware cleanup
- One-time help with settings, updates, or error messages
- Guided training on how to use specific apps or features
If it’s something I can safely do over a secure connection, remote support can save you time and money compared to an onsite visit.
How Remote Support Works
- We schedule an appointment for a specific time.
- You download a small, safe support tool (I’ll walk you through it step-by-step).
- I connect to your computer securely and you can see everything I’m doing.
- When we’re done, you can close the connection and I won’t be able to access your computer again unless you invite me.
You stay in control the whole time, and I explain what I’m doing in plain language so you’re never left wondering.
Is Remote Support Safe?
Yes. I only connect with your permission, and only for as long as the session is active. I cannot connect without you selecting an “Allow Connection” button that pops up.
Once we’re finished, the connection is closed and I can’t get back in without your approval.
If you’re ever unsure or uncomfortable, we can end the session immediately. Your comfort and trust come first.
When Remote Support Isn’t the Right Fit
Remote support works best when:
- Your computer turns on and can get online
- The problem is software or settings related
You’ll likely need an onsite visit if:
- The computer won’t turn on at all
- There’s a physical problem with the computer, printer, or cables
- Wi-Fi doesn’t work anywhere in the home
If you’re not sure which option is best, I’ll help you decide what PC repair in Lethbridge service you need.
Who Remote Support Is Best For
- Seniors who prefer not to unplug equipment or have visitors
- Busy people who want quick help during the day
- Anyone comfortable talking on the phone while I work on their screen
- Clients outside my normal onsite travel area, within Alberta

Remote Support – Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be good with computers to use remote support?
Not at all. I’ll walk you through each step over the phone. If you can move a mouse and click, we can usually get connected.
Can you see my passwords or personal information?
During a session, I can see your screen just like you do. If we need to enter a password, I’ll always tell you first and you can choose whether to do it yourself.
Do I have to stay at the computer the whole time?
It’s best if you’re nearby in case I need you to confirm something, but you don’t have to sit and watch every moment unless you want to.
Can remote support fix every problem?
No. Hardware problems, major Wi-Fi issues, or dead computers usually require an onsite visit. If remote support isn’t the right approach, I’ll tell you honestly.
Do you offer remote support outside Lethbridge?
In many cases, yes — especially for software and email problems. Contact me and we can decide if remote support is a good fit for your situation.
